Warm and tuned: soundtrack material, with pitched kicks and shell-led snares.

200 one-shot samples made on an Atari ST's YM2149 sound chip. Not

recorded off a game, not ripped from a tune, not a neural network's idea of a

chiptune. Every file here was produced by running a real Atari ST replay

routine into an emulation of the YM2149 and recording what came out of it.

That matters for one practical reason: you can use these commercially without

wondering who owns them.

Every pitched sample has its note in the filename, so you know the root before

you load it - no guessing, no tuning by ear.

Every file is peak-normalised to -1 dBFS, DC-corrected and faded at both ends.

Nothing clicks when you trigger it.

Every filename starts with "Renata Atari ST Sample Pack 4", so when a sample ends up

in a folder with three hundred others you can still tell where it came from.

WHAT'S IN THIS ONE

The one for tunes rather than tracks. The drums are tuned - the kicks settle

on a note between 58 and 92 Hz instead of dropping to sub, the toms are pitched

to F, A and C, and the snares lead with their shell instead of their hiss. The

leads carry vibrato, slides and octave stacks; the chords are sevenths, ninths

and sixths. It sits under melody without fighting it.

THIS IS ONE OF FIVE

There are five Atari ST packs and each is a genuinely different kit - different

root notes, different chip techniques, different drums. No two packs share a

single root note in any category, so the five together cover the keyboard

rather than repeating it. Pack 4 is not pack 1 transposed.

Use them in anything you make - games, videos, tracks, streams, films,

commercial work - for free, forever, in as many projects as you like. Edit

them however you want.

The one thing you may not do is resell them as samples - a sample pack, a
