200 one-shot samples made on an Atari ST's YM2149 sound chip. Not

recorded off a game, not ripped from a tune, not a neural network's idea of a

chiptune. Every file here was produced by running a real Atari ST replay

routine into an emulation of the YM2149 and recording what came out of it.

That matters for one practical reason: you can use these commercially without

wondering who owns them.

Every pitched sample has its note in the filename, so you know the root before

you load it - no guessing, no tuning by ear.

Every file is peak-normalised to -1 dBFS, DC-corrected and faded at both ends.

Nothing clicks when you trigger it.

Every filename starts with "Renata Atari ST Sample Pack 5", so when a sample ends up

in a folder with three hundred others you can still tell where it came from.

WHAT'S IN THIS ONE

Rave, industrial and anything that wants to sound like a machine rather than

an instrument. The level register is gated full-to-silence every frame instead

of wobbled, the snares are almost pure noise with barely any shell, the hats

are two or three ticks long, and the FX are hoovers, warps and sirens. The

chords are fifths, octaves, tritones and chromatic clusters - deliberately not

music, deliberately usable.

There are five Atari ST packs and each is a genuinely different kit - different

root notes, different chip techniques, different drums. No two packs share a

single root note in any category, so the five together cover the keyboard

rather than repeating it. Pack 5 is not pack 1 transposed.

Use them in anything you make - games, videos, tracks, streams, films,

commercial work - for free, forever, in as many projects as you like. Edit

them however you want.

That's asked, not enforced.

The one thing you may not do is resell them as samples - a sample pack, a

sound library, a preset bank or a stock-audio listing. They have to be part of
