The core kit: the general palette, in C and G.

200 one-shot samples made on a Game Boy's DMG APU sound chip. Not

recorded off a game, not ripped from a tune, not a neural network's idea of a

chiptune. Every file here was produced by running a real Game Boy replay

routine into an emulation of the DMG APU and recording what came out of it.

That matters for one practical reason: you can use these commercially without

wondering who owns them.

Every pitched sample has its note in the filename, so you know the root before

you load it - no guessing, no tuning by ear.

Every file is peak-normalised to -1 dBFS, DC-corrected and faded at both ends.

Nothing clicks when you trigger it.

Every filename starts with "Renata Game Boy Sample Pack 1", so when a sample ends up

in a folder with three hundred others you can still tell where it came from.

WHAT'S IN THIS ONE

The one to start with. Squares at three duties, the third waveform, chip

arpeggios, three-channel pads and a full drum kit - the sounds a Game Boy tune is

actually built from, at the pitches most tunes sit at. If you only want one

Game Boy pack, this is it.

There are five Game Boy packs and each is a genuinely different kit - different

root notes, different chip techniques, different drums. No two packs share a

single root note in any category, so the five together cover the keyboard

rather than repeating it. Pack 1 is not pack 1 transposed.

Use them in anything you make - games, videos, tracks, streams, films,

commercial work - for free, forever, in as many projects as you like. Edit

them however you want.

That's asked, not enforced.

The one thing you may not do is resell them as samples - a sample pack, a

sound library, a preset bank or a stock-audio listing. They have to be part of
