Every track here was written by Renata, a Windows chiptune studio I've been building on my own over nine months of evenings.

Renata plays and converts over 230 chip and tracker formats, pulls per-channel stems and sample packs out of them, and exports seven chip formats of its own. The part that wrote these 75 tracks is its Song Generator: a rule-based composer. No neural network wrote any of this, and nothing is sampled from an existing recording. It's deterministic rather than generative — the same settings and the same seed compose the same song every time, on any machine.

It runs entirely on your machine. No account, no cloud, no subscription.

The licence, in full

You can use these tracks in anything you make — games, videos, streams, films, podcasts, apps — including commercial work. Edit them, loop them, cut them, remix them. Unlimited projects, forever, no fee, no permission needed.

You can't sell the tracks as music — as a pack, a compilation, an album or a stock-audio listing. And you can't register them with a content-ID system or a performing-rights organisation. These are given to everyone, so nobody gets to fence them off — that clause protects you. It means nobody can issue a takedown against your game for using them.

A track list with the mood, key, tempo and length of every track, so you can find a menu loop or a boss theme without listening to all 75.

The original .ym files — frame-by-frame chip register dumps rather than audio. They play on a real Atari ST, in an emulator, or in any YM replayer.
